Ruslam Aleman Working as a group for our presentation honestly ended up way better than I had initially expected it to go. The chapter I focused on, which was the later half of chapter 10, was mainly about using language effectively. It included sections 10-5, 10-6, and 10-7, to be precise. It pushed me to think about communication in a way I hadn’t really done before. Instead of just memorizing definitions, I had to actually understand how language works in real situations and explain it clearly to other people. When me and my group first started talking through the WhatsApp chat, we talked about the chapters and decided on how to divide the material. Everyone was responsible for creating their own slides and speech. Creating my slides forced me to decide what was important and what could potentially overwhelm the audience. This was actually my first college group presentation, but like my high school ones, I quickly realized that packing in every detail from the textbook would simp...

When I first learned that we would be completing a collaborative presentation online and then writing a reflective blog about the experience, I immediately thought about how unpredictable group work can sometimes be, especially when technology, schedules, and real-time pressure are involved. I expected that this project would test my organization skills, communication habits, and ability to think quickly under stress. I covered different types of presentation media, such as visual display tools, multimedia enhancements, and supplemental or human support tools. Preparing this section pushed me to think carefully about how media can support a speake...

Before this class, I had never done a full group presentation online. I had worked in groups before, but it was usually in person, where everyone could meet face-to-face and talk things through right away. Doing a presentation completely online felt new and a little intimidating at first. I wasn’t sure how communication would go, how work would be divided, or how comfortable I would feel presenting through a screen. Looking back now, I can honestly say that I really enjoyed the experience and learned a lot from it.      This online group presentation pushed me out of my comfort zone in a good way. Since it was my first time doing something like this, I had to adjust to a different way of working. Instead of meeting in a classroom, we relied on online tools like discussion boards, shared documents, and virtual meetings. At first, it felt strange not being in the same room, but over time I realized that online collaboration can be just as effectiv...
