BLOG#1 Jeremiah Previl Group 3: When I had firstly realized I had public speaking I assumed that this was going to be fairly difficult for me from the aspect that I never really worked in groups and always found myself being the odd man out when it came to group projects preferring to always work individually or the tables always turning that way for me. Thru the class I've not only gained a new skill and perspective and importance of the way I only present presentations but the way I present myself when speaking to others and controlling the environment but also being part of a team and helping one another. But through this class, I ended up gaining more than just another grade or another assignment finished. Oliver Pompee February 5, 2026 Reflections on The Group Presentations: What I Learned from Watching My Classmates talked about Through the Public Speaking Presentations To start off, this essay ima be reflecting my personal thoughts on how the presentations were given by each of the groups. Each group covered different aspects of public speaking, that I liked hearing and I’ll be discussing which parts grabbed my attention and why. As I was hearing what each of the groups were talking about Thankfully through Panopto, because I for sure wouldn’t even be able complete this off the dome of my head trying to remember what each group was saying either way Professor Sinkoff was nice enough give us Panopto being able to go back and review the Videos. Mia Nieves Group 3 Working with a group on this presentation actually turned out way better than I thought it would. Honestly, I was pretty anxious at first it was my first group project in college, and I’d already heard all the usual horror stories. I had never done or presented a speech to a zoom class before. I was also late to the class so I wasn’t sure what to expect. You know, people not responding, missing deadlines, or just dumping all the work on one unlucky person. I’d braced myself for at least some chaos. But none of that happened. Everyone showed up, pitched in, and actually cared about getting it right. It made everything feel smoother and way less stressful. Everything went down the right path. Once we got going, things just clicked. We set up a WhatsApp group, which made it easy to keep track of everything and check in with each other.
